Gyros Smashed Tacos

Ingredientes

500g ground beef or a mix of beef and lamb

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

6 soft tortillas

Toppings:

Tzatziki sauce

Diced tomatoes

Crispy fries

Finely sliced red onion

Fresh parsley, chopped

A squeeze of lemon for each taco

Instruções

In a bowl, combine the beef (or beef-lamb mix) with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Form small balls of the seasoned meat and place one on top of each tortilla. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat, then place the tortillas (with the meat side down) onto the hot surface.

Cook for about 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes to crisp up the tortilla.

Transfer the tacos to a tray and broil under the grill for 2–3 minutes for an extra golden, crispy finish.

Spread a generous spoonful of tzatziki over each taco. Top with diced tomatoes, crispy fries, sliced red onion, and fresh parsley.

Give each taco a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for that perfect tangy kick — and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
