Teriyaki Chicken

2lbs Boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of excess fat and cut into pieces
1Tbsp Neutral cooking oil
1tsp Salt
⅓c Mirin
⅓c Water
⅓c Low-sodium soy sauce
2 Garlic cloves, minced
2tsp Ginger, minced or paste
1tsp Bravado Spice Aka Miso Ghost-Reaper Hot Sauce **see note
2Tbsp Honey
1-2 Green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
½Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Wskazówki
Heat the oil in a large pan to medium heat.
Add chicken and sprinkle with salt. Cook 1-2 minute on each side. Chicken will not be cooked all the way through.
Add the soy sauce, mirin, water, garlic, ginger, honey, and Bravado Spice Aka Miso Ghost-Reaper Hot Sauce.
Gently stir, coating the chicken. Allow sauce to thicken and chicken to finish cooking. About 5 min.
If sauce is too thin, remove chicken from pan and slightly increase heat to allow sauce to reduce and thicken.
Serve the chicken over rice and top with additional sauce. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy!
