Cinnamon Rolls

Sweet Roll Recipe

Rolls:

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. salt

3 packs yeast

8-9 cups flour

2 cups milk

1 cup butter

2 eggs

Sugar filling/topping:

1 cup brown sugar

2 cups finely-chopped pecans

1 Tbsp. cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Combine sugar, salt, yeast, and 2 cups flour.

3. Heat milk and butter 2.5 minutes in microwave to 120-130°F until melted. Mix liquid into dry mixture for 2 minutes. Beat in eggs.

4. Beat in 2 cups of flour for 2 minutes. Stir in 4 - 4½ cups flour with a spoon, a little at a time until dough is soft. Knead for 10 minutes. J

5. Let rise in greased bowl for 2 hours until doubled in size. Punch down. Cut in half. Use each half for 12 cinnamon rolls.

6. Roll dough out into 8x12 inch square. Brush with ¼ cup melted butter and sprinkle with half of sugar mixture.

7. Roll dough into a long log and cut into 1 inch rolls. Lay out in a greased glass baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 40-50 minutes. Brush tops of rolls with more butter, and sprinkle with more topping. Bake 20-25 minutes.
