Easy Cheese Sauce

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all purpose flour

1 cup half and half (can use whole milk)

8 ounce block sharp cheddar cheese (freshly grated)

1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Wskazówki

Grate the cheese then set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter then sprinkle the flour over the top.

Whisk until smooth then continue simmering 1 minute. Pour in the milk and season with salt then continue whisking constantly until the milk and flour mixture are combined.

Add the cheese stirring well to combine. Give it a few vigorous stirs after the cheese is melted in. This will give it an extra creamy consistency.

Taste and adjust salt as needed then eat right away.
