Banana Bread (Plain Cooking Amish Recipes)

1-1/2 sticks of butter

1-1/2 C. Sugar

2 eggs, beaten

3 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. baking soda

1/4 c. milk

3/4 c. mashed bananas (2 small-medium very ripe bananas)

1 c. chopped nuts

Wskazówki

Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs.

In separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda.

Add milk and flour mixture alternately to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, then fold in mashed bananas and nuts into mixture.

Divide in half and put into 2 greased loaf pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

From "Plain Cooking" (Amish recipes) by Bill Randle This is excellent! It melts in your mouth, but you must use real butter for best results. You'll need about 2 medium to small very ripe bananas for this.
