Gordon Ramsay Perfect Mashed Potatoes Recipe

1 ⅘ kg Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
3 garlic cloves (optional)
75g melted salted butter
240ml hot milk or cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructies
Peel and quarter potatoes. Place in cold salted water with garlic.
Bring to a boil and cook uncovered for ~15 min until fork-tender.
Drain and return to pot. Let steam dry for 2 minutes.
Add melted butter and mash gently.
Gradually add hot milk while mashing to desired consistency.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately while hot.
Notities
Added cold milk and it was just fine! You can use a hand mixer to mash instead
