2 - 2-1/2 c grain*
1 c milk or other liquid (unmilk, buttermilk, sour milk, etc.)
Up to 1/4 c fat (omit if using a wet addition)
1 egg OR 1 heaping Tbsp soy flour + 1 Tbsp water (if using a cooked grain, separate & beat egg whites)
Up to 1/2 c sugar, honey*, or molasses*
2 tsp baking powder*
1/2 tsp salt
Up to 1-1/2 c additions (dry like sunflower seeds, raisins, coconut, nuts; moist like blueberries, chopped apple, shredded zucchini, carrot; wet additions like pumpkin, applesauce, mashed sweet potato, banana, mashed carrot)

Instructies
Stir together dry ingredients.
Mix wet ingredients.
Stir wet and dry together.
Bake at 400°F for approximately 20 minutes.
Notities
Grain: up to 1 c can be grain other than flour; if substituting 1 c of leftover cooked cereal for 1/2 c of flour, decrease liquid to 1/2 c.
Sweetening: If using honey or molasses, decrease liquid to 3/4 c.
Baking Powder: Increase to 3 tsp if using whole wheat or cooked grain or more than 1 cup of additions. If using buttermilk or sour milk for liquid, decrease to 1 tsp and add 1/2 tsp baking soda.
