Greek-style Feta Lemon Cream Pasta

12 oz pasta (penne, linguine, or rotini work great)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup crumbled feta cheese (plus extra for topping)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley (optional)
Optional: cherry tomatoes or baby spinach for extra freshness

Cook the Pasta:
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
Build the Sauce:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and lemon zest; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in lemon juice, feta, and Parmesan cheese. Let cook for 2–3 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.
Combine:
Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed to loosen the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in fresh herbs if using.
Serve:
Top with extra crumbled feta, a sprinkle of herbs, and a crack of black pepper. Serve hot with crusty bread or a side salad.
