Garlic Chicken & Mushrooms in a Creamy Pasta Sauce

Ingredienser

2 chicken breasts (sliced into strips)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

1 cup sliced mushrooms

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tsp dried thyme

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2 cups cooked pasta

Fremgangsmåte

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter. Add sliced mushrooms and garlic, cooking until the mushrooms are softened, about 5 minutes.

Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in thyme and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss with the creamy mushroom sauce. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Serve the creamy chicken and mushrooms over the cooked pasta for a rich, comforting dish.
