Yamitsuki Cabbage Recipe 🥬
1/2 head of fresh cabbage
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon hondashi (or bonito flakes)
Fremgangsmåte
Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces and wash well. (I recommend using a salad spinner). Ensure the cabbage is fully dried.
Mince the garlic and set aside.
Toast the sesame seeds in a skillet over medium heat until brown.
Add the toasted sesame seeds to a mortar and use a pestle to grind the seeds to a mush.
Add the minced garlic and mix until well- combined.
Combine the cabbage to a container, add the salt, hondashi and shake well to distribute the seasoning.
Add the sesame-garlic paste to the cabbage, shake well to mix and serve with additional sesame seeds or your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
