1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

Dry Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Berries

1 cup fresh raspberries

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

1 tbsp flour (to toss berries)

Topping

Powdered sugar for dusting

The kitchen fills with warm vanilla, lemony brightness, and berry sweetness as it bakes.

Arahan

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch round pan.

In a bowl, whisk butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest, and juice.

Add buttermilk and stir until smooth.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add dry ingredients into wet, stirring until combined.

Toss berries in 1 tbsp flour, then gently fold into batter.

Pour batter into pan, smoothing the top.

Sprinkle extra berries on top.

Bake for 35–40 mins until golden and toothpick comes out clean 🔥

Cool, then dust generously with powdered sugar before slicing 🍰
