4-6 pork shoulder steaks

4 tbsp hoisin sauce

4 tbsp honey

2 tbsp dark soy sauce

1 tsp garlic purée

1 tsp Chinese five spice

1 tsp red food colouring (optional, for that classic takeaway look)

To serve:

600g cooked basmati rice

Tenderstem broccoli

2 tsp sesame seeds

Add the pork and all marinade ingredients to a bowl and mix well. If you love it extra saucy, mix the sauce separately and reserve some for basting during cooking.

Marinate for a few hours if you can then air fry at 190°C for 15 minutes, flipping halfway and basting for that sticky finish.

Serve with fluffy basmati rice, tenderstem broccoli and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
