1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoon dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1 bay leaf

1 ¼ cup dry orzo 8 oz

3 cups chicken broth low or no salt

⅓ cup milk

1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese

¼ cup parmesan cheese
