Bacon Cheeseburger Queso Dip

1 pound(s) bacon, chopped

1 pound(s) lean ground beef or ground turkey breast

1 - onion, diced

1 pound(s) light Velveeta cheese, cubed

4 ounce(s) reduced-fat cream cheese, softened and cubed

1/2 cup(s) milk, plus more, if needed

1 cup(s) shredded Mexican-style cheese

1 can(s) diced tomatoes with chiles, drained (10 oz)

Cook the bacon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain; set aside.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef or turkey; drain. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.

Add the onion to the skillet and cook until translucent.

In a large saucepan, melt the Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, and 1/2 cup milk over medium heat. Stir until completely melted.

Add the Mexican cheese, meat, tomatoes, and bacon. Mix until combined.

If the mixture is too thick, add in a little more milk.
