Crumble topping: mix 2/3 cup oats, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp baking powder. Cut in 1/2 cup salted butter. Chill while you do the apples.

Filling: peel + slice 3–4 Granny Smiths. Stir 3 tbsp melted butter + 2 tbsp flour until smooth, then add 1 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Toss with apples.

Spread in 8×8 dish, top with crumble, bake at 375°F for ~35 min until golden. Cool 15 min. Serve with vanilla ice cream + caramel if you want to win at life.
