SILVER FOX 🦊

This cocktail was created by Richard Boccato of Dutch Kills (@dutchkillsbar) in New York City and found in Sasha Petraske’s “Regarding Cocktails.” It has strong similarities to the classic Silver Fizz, which uses simple syrup instead of orgeat. To quote, Boccato, “Know your history before attempting to reinvent the wheel.” I love the multiple layers of almond flavor from the orgeat and amaretto.

SILVER FOX 🦊

1½ oz. / 45 ml. gin

¾ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lemon juice

½ oz. / 15 ml. orgeat

1 fresh egg white or other foamer

soda water, to top

½ oz. / 15 ml. amaretto, to float

dd all ingredients to shaker tin / shake without ice (“dry shake”) / add ice / shake until chilled / strain into a glass / top with soda water / float amaretto / no garnish
