Homemade Peanut Butter

3 cups unsalted peanuts

Up to ¼ teaspoon fine salt (leave out if using salted peanuts)

2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1️⃣ Roast the peanuts in a sheet tray at 400 F for 10 mins. Let cool.

Add peanuts to the bowl of a food processor and process for 1-2 minutes. Open the lid and scrape the sides. The mixture will be grainy.

Continue blending for another minute. Open and scrape the sides again, season with salt and maple syrup.

Blend for 3- 4 minutes until very smooth in consistency. Devour!

Refrigerate and store peanut butter in an airtight container or jar. This will stay fresh for up to 2 months.

Notes: For chunky peanut butter, reserve 1/4 cup of peanuts, coarsely chop them or lightly process in a food processor and mix in with smooth peanut butter.
