Chicken Lo Mein

Ingredienti

Chicken

1 lb chicken breast or thighs (thinly sliced)

2 tbsp soy sauce

½ tsp white pepper

1 tbsp cornstarch

2 tsp oil (+ more for cooking)

Noodles

13 oz lo mein noodles (dried)

1 tsp sesame oil

Sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp dark soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp sugar

¼ tsp white pepper

Vegetables

4 garlic cloves (minced)

1 inch ginger (minced)

¼ onion (sliced)

4 green onions (cut in 2" pieces)

2 carrots (julienned)

2 cups napa cabbage (sliced)

Istruzioni

marinate

In a bowl, mix together chicken, soy sauce, white pepper, cornstarch, and oil. Set aside to marinate while you prepare the other ingredients.

sauce

In a separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, and sugar to make the stir fry sauce. Set aside.

noodles

In a pot, boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse, and toss in sesame oil. Set aside.

chicken

Add a drizzle of oil to a wok or large pan on medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 5 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

saute

Add another drizzle of oil if needed then sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and the white part of green onions until fragrant. Then add carrots, napa cabbage, and stir fry until softened. Add in the cooked noodles, chicken, and sauce. Toss everything together.

enjoy

Taste and adjust to your liking. Finish it off with the green part of green onions, give it another quick toss, and enjoy!
