1 cup lukewarm water (250 ml)
1 cup lukewarm milk (250 ml)
3 tablespoons sugar
1 packet instant yeast
1 teaspoon salt
Half a teacup of vegetable oil
1 egg (egg white for the dough, yolk for brushing on top)
6.5 cups all-purpose flour (I mixed half all-purpose flour and half baklava flour)
Knead a medium-soft dough. Without letting it rise, make 20 equal balls. Roll out each ball to the size of a plate.
Brush the layers with melted butter (approximately 150 grams).
After buttering all the layers, cover with a plastic bag and let it rest in the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes. (If you wish, you can do this the night before and leave it in the refrigerator until morning. Open, cut, and bake in the morning.)
Roll out the chilled dough with a rolling pin to a diameter of 45 cm. Cut and shape as shown in the video. You can add cheese or potato filling if you like. I made mine plain and then added chocolate sauce.
After shaping, place them on a baking tray with some space between them and let them rise for 30 minutes.
Brush with egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35 minutes. 🌹
