Magnolia”s Famous Banana Pudding

1 1/2 cups very cold water
14oz can sweetened condensed milk
3 ⅖ instant vanilla @jello pudding mix
3 cups heavy cream
Sliced bananas (ripe but not too ripe)
nillawafers (I used a little over 12oz to fill my dish)

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cold water, sweetened condensed milk, and jello pudding mix. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (ideal) or for at least 4 hours.
When you’re ready to assemble your pudding, whip 3 cups of heavy cream in a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment until stiff peaks form.
Fold the pudding mix into the whipped cream until you no longer see any pudding streaks and you have a smooth texture.
Begin assembling your banana pudding in a trifle dish. Start with a layer of Nilla wafers, then a layer of sliced bananas, followed by a layer of pudding.
Repeat the above step until your dish is full (you may have some pudding leftover).
Top your banana pudding with crushed Nilla Wafers.
Serve the banana pudding cold! If you need to save it for later, wrap it up well and store in the refrigerator (the bananas might turn brown if you let it sit for too long before serving but I actually prefer the texture of this dessert after it has been in the fridge overnight 🤭)
