Pull Apart Garlic Bread

Dough
Bread flour – 3½ cups (450 g)
Instant yeast – 2¼ tsp (7 g / 1 sachet)
Sugar – 2 tbsp (25 g)
Salt – 1½ tsp (9 g)
Warm milk (not hot) – ¾ cup (180 ml)
Egg – 1 large
Unsalted butter, melted – 4 tbsp (60 g)
1 tsp garlic powder
Garlic Butter Filling
Unsalted butter, softened – ½ cup (115 g)
Garlic, minced – 5–6 cloves (18–20 g)
Fresh parsley, finely chopped – ¼ cup (10 g)
Salt – ½ tsp (3 g)
Black pepper – ¼ tsp (1 g)
Garlic powder-1 tsp
Cheese Filling
Mozzarella cheese, grated – 2 cups (240 g)
Parmesan cheese, finely grated – ½ cup (50 g)

Make the dough
In a large bowl, combine bread flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Add warm milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic (or 5–6 minutes in a stand mixer).
The dough should be soft but not sticky — add 1 tbsp flour at a time if needed.
Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1½ hours, until doubled.
Prepare garlic butter
Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Shape the bread
Punch down dough and roll into a rectangle (about 30 × 45 cm / 12 × 18 in).
Spread garlic butter evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly across the surface.
Cut into squares, stack, and place upright into a greased loaf tin.
Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes, until puffy.
Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake for 35–40 minutes, until deeply golden and cooked through.
If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil for the final 10 minutes.
Finish & serve
Rest for 10 minutes, then remove from tin.
Brush with extra melted garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley.
Serve warm and pull apart.
