Tom Thumb Cookies

Bahan-bahan

Part 1:

1/2 c butter, margarine or crisco

1/2 c brown sugar

1 cup flour

Spread in pan and bake @350 for 15 mins

While in oven….

Part 2:

2 c brown sugar

2 tbsp. Flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp real vanilla

1 1/2 cup grated coconut

1 1/2 cup pecans or English walnuts

2 whole eggs, beaten

Petunjuk

Mix together and spread on crust, then back in oven for 20-25 minutes.

Catatan

This was Nellie Doak’s * recipe, my grandmother. They were so yummy, but mine were never as good. One trick of the older generation with their secret recipes is to “forget” one ingredient when sharing recipes.The recipe never tastes as good…allegedly.
