5 diced onions

4 chopped cloves of garlic

big bunch of coriander

big bunch of dill

2 sticks of cinnamon

1 lumi

salt & pepper

1 tsp lumi powder

1 tsp turmeric

1 tbsp ghee

1 to 2 kgs cleaned and devained prawns

2 cups of @canarytraveloman

2 cups of mung beans (soaked in boiling water for an hour)

1 can of tomatoes

4 tbsps tamarind paste

Petunjuk

start by searing the onions with no oil for a couple of minutes till they start to brown.

add the spices. Herbs and sear them for another few minutes. Then add the prawns and cook them for 1 to 2 minutes only. Then set them aside.

add the soaked mung beans to the pot with the rice. 2 tbsps of tamarind paste and a hefty pinch of salt. Cover the rice with water till it reaches a centimeter or a finger tip above the rice.

once it starts boiling and the water level goes down. Drop the heat to a simmer cover and let the rice cook for 20 minutes.

keep the lid shut after for another 15-20 minutes for best results)

cook the can of tomatoes with the tamarind paste till it boils. Then add the prawns and let them stew covered for 6-7 minutes.

flip the pot on a serving plate. Top it with some of the prawns. Garnish with lemon slices and coriander. Serve the prawn stew on the side and enjoy.
