Fireball Cherry Blasters

1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
1 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water (for cornstarch slurry)

Upute
Begin by washing the fresh cherries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the pits from each cherry carefully using a cherry pitter or a small knife. Set the pitted cherries aside in a medium-sized bowl.
In a saucepan, combine one cup of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, one cup of granulated sugar, and one cup of water. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Once the sugar is dissolved, add the pitted cherries to the saucepan. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Continue to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the cherries from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
While the cherries are simmering, in a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a quarter cup of water to create a slurry. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
After the cherries have simmered for 10 minutes, gradually stir in the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a syrup-like consistency.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
Once the cherry mixture has cooled slightly, transfer the Fireball Cherry Blasters into a clean jar or container with a lid. Let it cool completely at room temperature before sealing the jar.
Refrigerate the Fireball Cherry Blasters for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
When ready to serve, spoon the Fireball Cherry Blasters into individual serving dishes. If desired, top with whipped cream for an extra indulgent touch.
