1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)

½ cup oil

½ cup unsweetened applesauce (1 single-serve cup)

1 (10 oz) jar creamy peanut butter

½ small tub vanilla frosting

chocolate bar (milk or semi-sweet)

In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and applesauce until a dough forms. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions, roll into balls, and flatten the tops slightly. Bake at 350°F for 14 minutes. Let cool completely.

In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter with about half the tub of vanilla frosting until it forms a thick, non-sticky dough. Divide evenly across cookies. Roll into balls and press down to cover each cookie.

Melt the chocolate bar in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring in between until smooth. Spoon onto each cookie and spread with the back of a spoon.

Chill in the fridge until set. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
