Mom’s Homemade Biscuits
12 small or 6 large bisc

1 cup self rising flour (White Lilly preferred)
Half stick (1/4 c) cold butter (frozen is best)
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Put flour in large bowl.
3. Grate cold butter over flour and mix in with biscuit cutter so it’s crumbly.
4. In separate bowl, mix sour cream with buttermilk. Slowly fold sour cream and buttermilk mixture into flour, making sure not to overmix. Only add enough until mixture comes together and is no longer crumbly.
5. Scoop with a small or medium scoop onto parchment-lined pan. Pat down each biscuit with a sprinkle of flour until flat and about 1/2 inch thick.
6. Bake at 450 for 12-14 minutes until golden brown on top.
