Brown Butter Fudge Brownies

BROWN BUTTER FUDGE BROWNIES

3/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

3 large eggs

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips

Instructions

HOW TO MAKE

~Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8x8 pan with parchment.

~In a saucepan over medium-low, melt butter, stirring often until golden brown with nutty aroma or golden bits at the bottom of pan (10-15 min).

Remove from heat.

~Stir in your butter with your chocolate chips mix till the chocolate is melted. Next whisk in your cocoa powder and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.

~In a mixer, beat eggs and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.

~Mix in butter mixture, then flour and salt until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips if using.

~Spread in pan and bake 25-35 min. Edges should be set; center slightly gooey when tested.
