Brown Butter Candied Pecan Ice Cream

Ingrédients

1 cup (110g) pecan halves

2 Tbsp (28g) unsalted butter

3 Tbsp (38g) light brown sugar

1 Tbsp pure maple syrup or honey

½ tsp cinnamon

Pinch kosher salt

½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with parchment.

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook until golden and nutty, stirring frequently (2–3 minutes).

Add brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until bubbling.

Add pecans and cook 2–3 minutes until glossy and coated.

Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and spread onto parchment to cool completely.

Roughly chop once cooled.
