Ingrédients

Cheese Bagels

3 ½ cups flour

1 ½ tsp Salt

1 ½ sugar

1 1/4 cup water (warmed)

2 tsp active dry yeast

grated marble cheese

Egg wash

1 egg

splash of milk

Instructions

Mix the yeast with the water, sugar, and let rise for about 10 min until you can see its bubbly.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, and salt.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and

mix with a stand mixer with a dough hook for 7 minutes.

cover and let rise for 1.5 hours.

once ready, cut into 8 equal sized pieces and shape into a round ball.

cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

use your finger and thumb to create a hole in the centre of the ball. then put both index fingers through the hole and make a circle motion to create a bagel shape.

preheat oven to 400°F

bring a large pot of water to a boil in place each bagel in for one minute on each side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack.

line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and placed bagels on top.

give each bagel, an egg wash and press on grated cheese on top of each one.

bake for 18-20 minutes, watching closely at the end to not over bake
