Garlic-Butter Sautéed Asparagus Is Ready in Just 15 Minutes

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
4 medium cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 medium bunch asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons water
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Instructions
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic; cook, stirring often, until light golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the garlic to a small bowl, leaving the oil in the skillet.
Add trimmed asparagus to the skillet with the oil; toss to coat. Add 2 tablespoons water and ½ teaspoon salt; cover and cook over medium heat, tossing occasionally, until the asparagus is tender-crisp, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter; stir and toss until the butter is melted and coats the asparagus, about 1 minute.
