Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps

Ingrédients

3 cloves garlic

2 teaspoons grated ginger

1/2 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Half a head of washed iceberg lettuce, leaves individually separated

1 cucumber, julienne

1 carrot, julienne

Instructions

Finely mince garlic cloves and add to small container. Add ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside.

Heat a large pan over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until done. Remove any excess fat. Create welt in the middle of pan and toast sesame seeds. Once toasted, mix with ground beef and add sauce. Stir and place on low until cooked down and slightly thickened.

To serve, double up two pieces of iceberg lettuce and add ground beef mixture. Top with julienned cucumbers and carrots, and enjoy with additional soy sauce and or sambal =}

Notes

Alternatively serve with a bowl of jasmine rice!
