My Secret Steak Recipe

Ingrédients

Thick filet mignon or ribeye

Montreal steak seasoning

Brown sugar

1 tbsp avocado oil, flax seed oil, or olive oil

Instructions

Bring steaks to room temp

Take your steaks out of the fridge 30 to 60 minutes before cooking. Unwrap them and place them on a plate.

Preheat oven and pan

Heat your oven to 300°F.

Place a cast iron skillet on the stove over high heat. Let it get really hot, then add your oil.

Season the steak

Pour Montreal steak seasoning onto a plate.

Press all sides of your steak into the seasoning so it is fully coated.

Sear the steak

Place steak in the hot cast iron. Do not touch it for 2 minutes.

Flip and do not touch it for another 2 minutes.

Bake

Move steaks to a foil lined baking sheet.

Bake at 300°F for 10 minutes.

Sweet broil

Pull the steak out and cover the top with brown sugar.

Turn your oven to broil and broil for about 4 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let the steak rest for 5 to 6 minutes.

Taste test time
