Refrigerator Pickles

8 to 10 cucumbers
1 onion
4 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar
A little less than 1/2 cup salt
1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoon mustard
Instructions
Slice half cucumber into a gallon jar. Sliced onions. Finish filling rest of jar with cucumbers. Mix ingredients and pour over. Do not heat. Put in refrigerator and let stand or set for two weeks. You can eat after five days. Leave and refrigerator at all times. Makes 1/2 gallon.
