How to Make Popcorn on the Stove

Ingrédients

1/3 - 1/2 cup Belden Barns popcorn kernels

2 tablespoon neutral, high-temp oil. We like coconut, but vegetable or canola oil will work, too.

Seasoning: salt, butter or any other favorite topping

Instructions

Put a heavy-bottomed pot with well-fitting lid on the stove at medium heat. Add oil and drop 3 kernels into the oil. Cover pot.

When you hear the kernels pop, add the rest of the kernels and shake pot gently to coat the kernels with oil. Return to heat.

Remove from heat when pops slow to 2 or 3 seconds apart and let pot rest undisturbed for 10-15 more seconds off of heat for a few final pops. Pour into a serving bowl and season with salt and melted butter to taste. Enjoy!
