Green Peas Curry

Ingredientes

1 cup Dry Green Peas soaked for 4 hours and drained

1 Onion medium size, sliced

1 Tomato sliced

½ inch Ginger chopped

6 Garlic cloves chopped

3 Green Chilly

3 tbsp Oil

½ tsp Mustard Seeds

1 tsp Salt

½ tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Chilly Powder

2 tsp Coriander Powder

½ tsp Pepper Powder

½ tsp Garam Masala

2 cup Water

1 sten Curry Leaves

½ cup Coriander Leaves chopped

Instrucciones

In a pressure cooker, add soaked green peas, water, 1 green chilly and ½ tsp salt, and cook for two whistles.

In a pan, add oil and once hot, add mustard and allow to splatter.

Then add onion along with curry leaves and sauté until soft.

Add ginger and garlic and sauté till raw smell disappears.

Then add tomato and rest of green chilly and sauté till tomato start to soften.

Bring heat down and add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder and continue to sauté.

Add all the water from cooked green peas and allow tomato to cook.

Then add green peas, ½ tsp salt and cook for 10 mins in medium heat.

Add pepper powder, garam masala and mix to cook for another 5 mins.

Add coriander leaves and mix well.

Green peas curry ready to serve.

Notas

Green peas can also soak in hot water for 1 hour for same result of soaking for 4 hours.
