Soft Shell Crab Sandwich

Ingredientes

Breading

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tbsp cayenne

  • 1 tbsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp salt

Egg Wash

  • 1-2 eggs beaten

  • 1-2 tbsp milk or buttermilk

Additional

  • 2-4 soft shell crabs

  • Vegetable oil

Instrucciones

  1. Heat 1-2 inches of oil in a saucier, braising pan, or Dutch oven

  2. Coat crab in dry breading mix. Dredge in egg wash. Dry bread crabs a second time.

  3. Place crabs in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Gently place crab in oil. Cover with splatter screen. Cook 2-3 minutes per side or until bubbles begin to slow.

  5. Temperature: 140 F

  6. Place on brioche bun with tartar sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Notas

Salt lightly after removing from oil.

Squeeze lemon & Parsley to garnish (Optional)
