Put a pot on about medium heat or lower...

Let it heat up a bit

Add a tad of oil and the kernels, put the lid on,

As it starts popping shaking it around

When it starts to get really going turn the heat to low-med until it stops popping...

Then remove from heat, give it a few moments until nothing else is popping
