Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredientes

320ml warm water

13g granulated sugar

7g yeast

500g plain flour

2 Tablespoons (30ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for greasing

1 teaspoon salt

sprinkle of cornmeal, for dusting the pan

Instrucciones

Whisk the warm water, sugar, and yeast together in the bowl of a stand mixer with dough hook attachment . Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.

Add the flour, olive oil, and salt. Knead with dough hook on medium speed for ~5 minutes.

Cover and let rise at room temperature for 45-60 minutes (until doubled).

Preheat oven to 250C. If using a pizza stone, put it in now. Lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.

Punch down the dough. Divide it in half (if you’re only making one pizza, freeze the other half now).

Stretch out the dough onto your trays or pizza peel. Cover the shaped dough lightly and let it rest while you prepare toppings.

When ready to decorate press fingers into the dough to prevent bubbling before adding toppings.

Bake for 13–15 minutes, until the crust is golden.
