Jambalaya With Chicken Sausage

Ingredients (6–8 total):

12 oz Andouille sausage, sliced

1 cup long-grain white rice

1 small onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

2 cups chicken broth

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)

1–2 tsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

Easy Andouille Sausage Jambalaya (8 Ingredients)

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.

Add sliced Andouille sausage and cook 3–4 minutes until browned.

Stir in the onion and bell pepper; cook until soft (about 3 minutes).

Add the white rice, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning. Stir well.

Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook 18–20 minutes until the rice is tender.

Fluff and serve.

✅ Optional upgrades (still easy):

Add cooked shrimp in the last 5 minutes.

Top with sliced green onions.

Add a dash of hot sauce if you like heat.

🔥 Shortcut tip: If you want it even easier, swap the onion + pepper for a frozen Cajun “trinity” mix (onion, celery, pepper).
