Empanadas

DOUGH
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 bars shortening
12 oz Coca-Cola
COATING
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
Instrucciones
Mix flour and shortening until mixture is finely crumbled. Add the coca-cola a little at a time until the dough forms.
Form the dough into 1” balls. Place in tortilla press to form a small circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the middle of the circle, wet the outside of the circle, and fold in half, gently pressing out any excess air. Crimp the edge of the empanada, using a fork to seal the edge. Place on an oiled baking sheet.
Bake a sheet of empanadas at 400 F for 20 mins. While still hot, coat the empanadas in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
