Braised Red Cabbage

1/2 red cabbage
1 apple
1 red onion
2 garlic cloves
200ml apple juice
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Fresh thyme
Salt
Olive oil
Instrucciones
Finely slice the red cabbage, red onion and garlic. Grate the apple.
Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add the red onion and garlic and cook for a few minutes.
Add the apple, salt, cinnamon and thyme. Cook for 1 minute. Then add the red cabbage.
Pour in the apple juice and balsamic vinegar. Add the honey. Cover with baking paper pushed directly onto the cabbage or use a lid. Simmer gently for 40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Stir in the butter, taste, and if needed add some more salt, vinegar or honey. Then it’s ready to serve and enjoy, lovely!
