Masala Pasta

1 box Penne Pasta
1 jar Tomato and Garlic Sauce (can substitute 24 oz/1 jar marinara sauce + 1 tsp garlic powder)
2 tablespoon Oil
1 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 1/2 cup Onion
1 1/2 cup Assorted Color Bell Peppers
3/4 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
3 teaspoon Garam Masala
3 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
3 tablespoon Heavy Cream
to taste Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Instrucciones
Cook Penne Pasta (1 box) according to package directions.
While the pasta is cooking, heat Oil (2 Tbsp) in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot add the Cumin Seeds (1 1/2 tsp).
When the cumin seeds start spluttering, add Onion (1 1/2 cups) and lower the heat to medium. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add Assorted Color Bell Peppers (1 1/2 cups) and saute for an additional 2 minutes.
Add Tomato and Garlic Sauce (1 jar), Ground Turmeric (3/4 tsp), Garam Masala (3 tsp), and Red Chili Powder (3 tsp) and stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add Heavy Cream (3 Tbsp) and mix well. Stir in the drained pasta until well combined.
Sprinkle with Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (to taste) before serving. Enjoy!
