Small Batch Cookie Bars

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 large egg yolk
½ tsp vanilla extract
⅔ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup chocolate chunks
Anweisungen
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chunks, then press the dough evenly into the loaf pan.
Top with more chocolate if you want (highly recommend 😉).
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack. Slice + enjoy!
