4 medium-sized potatoes
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon chaat masala
½ teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Anweisungen
Boil the Potatoes:
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Boil them in water until tender but not mushy.
Drain and let them cool.
Cut into bite-sized cubes.
Sauté the Potatoes:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add the boiled potato cubes and sauté until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Add Spices:
Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, black salt, and regular salt over the potatoes.
Mix well to coat the potatoes evenly with the spices.
Add Lemon Juice:
Turn off the heat and drizzle lemon juice over the spiced potatoes.
Mix gently.
Garnish and Serve:
Transfer the Aloo Chaat to a serving dish.
Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
Serve immediately as a snack or side dish.
