  • Toor Dal 1 cup

  • Tomatoes 1.5

  • Green Chilies 3

  • Turmeric Powder 0.5 tsp

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Lime 0.5

Tadka

  • Ghee 2 tbsp

  • Garlic 3

  • Asafetida 0.25 tsp

  • Mustard Seeds 1 tsp

  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp

  • Red Chili Powder 1 tsp

  • Dried Red Chilis 2

Anweisungen

Dal

  1. Wash dal till water is clear

  2. Soak in 3-4 cups of water for 30 minutes

  3. Dice tomatoes

  4. Drain and add to pressure cooker

  5. Add 2.5 cups of water, tomatoes, chilies, turmeric, and salt, and stir in

  6. Pressure cook for 3 whistle on high heat

  7. Let pressure release, stir in lime juice, and whisk well

  8. Salt to taste

Tadka

  1. Stove on medium-high

  2. Fry aromatics in ghee

  3. Switch off heat and add chili powder

  4. Immediately pour over dal and mix
