Sticky Bbq Beef Short Ribs

Ingredienser

3-4 lbs Beef short ribs (individual bone-in cuts)

2 tbsp Olive oil

1 cup BBQ sauce

1/4 cup Honey or brown sugar

2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

The Dry Rub:

1 tbsp Brown sugar

1 tbsp Smoked paprika

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Salt & coarse black pepper

Vejledning

Prep & Season: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the beef short ribs completely dry. Mix all the dry rub ingredients together and generously coat the ribs on all sides.

Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the ribs for 1-2 minutes per side until a dark crust forms.

Low & Slow Bake: Arrange the ribs snugly in a foil baking pan. Cover the pan tightly with a double layer of aluminum foil to trap moisture. Bake for 3 to 3.5 hours until tender.

Glaze: Whisk together the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Remove the foil from the pan and brush the ribs generously with the glaze.

Char: Turn the oven up to a high broil (or 425°F) and bake uncovered for 5-7 minutes. Watch closely until the glaze bubbles and caramelizes at the edges. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
