Cajun Jerk Chicken

- 2 chicken breasts, jerk seasoned
- 1/2 pound spicy sausage, sliced
- 1 cup penne pasta
- 1 cup rotini pasta
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Pokyny
Directions:
1. Cook the penne and rotini noodles in a pot of salted boiling water until they are al dente. Once they're ready, drain them and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the jerk-seasoned chicken breasts and cook them until they're golden brown and completely cooked through. Once done, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
3. In that same skillet, toss in the sliced sausage and sauté until browned. Then, remove the sausage and set it aside with the chicken.
4. Using the remaining oil in the pan, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until they soften and become fragrant.
5. Slice your cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet along with the sausage.
6. Pour in the tomato sauce, chicken broth, and add the Cajun seasoning. Give everything a good stir and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to really meld those flavors.
7. Now, toss in your cooked noodles, mix everything well, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
8. Serve hot, and garnish with fresh parsley if you like. Enjoy the burst of flavors!
