备注

Jiao San Xian (焦三仙), or “The Three Charred Digestive Herbs,” is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula traditionally used to support digestion, reduce food stagnation, and relieve feelings of heaviness or bloating after overeating.

This formula combines three herbs:

Hawthorn berry (Shan Zha), Malted barley (Mai Ya), and Medicated leaven (Liu Shen Qu)

According to traditional Chinese medicine, lightly charring or toasting these herbs enhances their ability to aid digestion and transform food accumulation. Because of their strong and effective action, the combination became known as “Jiao San Xian,” meaning “The Three Immortal.”

This tea is traditionally used for: Food stagnation, Bloating and fullness, Thick greasy tongue coating, Poor appetite after overeating, Indigestion from rich or heavy foods.

In traditional practice, the thick and greasy tongue coating associated with food accumulation often begins to improve after about TWO days of use.

***Because these herbs strongly promote digestion, prolonged or excessive use is generally NOT recommended, as it may weaken the spleen and stomach’s natural digestive function over time according to TCM theory.
