Cowboy Coffee Cake

配料

2 1/2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups brown sugar

2/3 cup shortening

Combine and reserve 1/2 cup crumbs. To remaining mixture add:

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1 cup sour milk

2 well beaten eggs

Pour into 2 8x8x2 inch baking pans, greased & floured. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup crumbs. Chopped nuts and cinnamon may be sprinkled over crumbs. Bake at 375 for 25 - 30 minutes.

We liked this as I recall, but didn't make it too often after I started to make the "crumb cake".
