Honey Mustard Beef Orzo

300 g orzo
500 g beef mince
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp wholegrain mustard
1 tbsp honey
150 ml double cream
600 ml beef stock
25 g parmesan
5 g chopped parsley
Salt and pepper
步骤
Heat the olive oil in a large deep pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for a few minutes until softened and lightly golden. Add the beef mince to the pan along with paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt and pepper. Cook while breaking it up until browned and cooked through. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in the Dijon mustard, wholegrain mustard and honey until the beef is fully coated and fragrant. Add the orzo and stir well so it is evenly mixed through the beef. Pour in the double cream and beef stock. Stir and make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom, then cover with a lid or foil and allow to simmer on medium heat for about five minutes.
Remove the lid, stir thoroughly, then cover again for another five minutes until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Remove the lid completely and stir until the sauce thickens to your liking. Add the parmesan and chopped parsley, stir well, taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
